PUMPKIN AND GINGERBREAD COOKIES FOR HAPPY DOGS

Ingredients
🍪🐶 These treats are a delicious feel-good boost for your pups. 🐕🦴
- 1 cup of pumpkin puree (no added sugar or spices)
- 1/2 cup of natural peanut butter (Very important: No xylitol, which is toxic to dogs!)
- 1 large egg
- 2 cups of whole wheat flour (or oat flour for a gluten-free option)
- 1 teaspoon of TERANA Ground Ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon of TERANA Ground Turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon of TERANA Ground Cinnamon (optional and in small amounts; safe for dogs)
- A little water or low-sodium chicken broth (no onion or garlic) if the dough is too dry
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Add the pumpkin puree, peanut butter, and egg in a large bowl. Mix well.
3. Add the TERANA Ground Ginger and TERANA Ground Cinnamon (if using) to the wet mixture. Stir to distribute evenly.
4. Gradually add the flour to the mixture, stirring until a firm dough forms. If the dough is too dry to work with, add a teaspoon of water or broth at a time until it reaches the right consistency.
5. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough with a rolling pin until it is approximately 1/4 inch thick.
6. Use cookie cutters in fun shapes (bones, paws, etc.) to cut the cookies. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cookies are firm and lightly browned.
8. Let the cookies cool completely on a wire rack before serving them to your dog. Store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or refrigerate/freeze for a longer shelf life.
