TACO FISH

TACO FISH

Ingredients

🌮🐟 Craving tacos, but want something different? Today, we're sharing a fish taco recipe with a TERANA Cajun spice blend that will make you feel right at the beach.

    For the fish:
    - 17.6 oz of white fish fillet (tilapia, cod, or mahi-mahi)
    - 2 tablespoons of TERANA Cajun Seasoning
    - 1 tablespoon of olive oil
    - The juice of one lemon

    For the salsa:
    - 1/2 cup of sour cream or Greek yogurt
    - 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise
    - The juice of half a lemon
    - 1 small garlic clove, finely chopped
    - Salt and pepper to taste

    To assemble the tacos:
    - 12 corn or flour tortillas
    - 1/2 red cabbage, thinly sliced
    - 1 avocado, sliced
    - Fresh cilantro, chopped
    - Lime wedges for serving

Directions:

1. Cut the fish into approximately 1-inch thick strips. In a bowl, toss the fish with TERANA Cajun Seasoning, olive oil, and lemon juice. Make sure all strips are well coated. Let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
2. In a small bowl, mix the sour cream or yogurt, mayonnaise, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Refrigerate the sauce while cooking the fish to allow the flavors to blend.
3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the fish strips for 2 to 3 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through.
4. While the fish is cooking, heat the tortillas on a griddle or dry skillet until soft and lightly toasted.
5. Place 2 or 3 strips of fish on each tortilla. Add some red cabbage, a few slices of avocado, and fresh cilantro. Finally, drizzle the creamy salsa over the filling.
6. Serve the fish tacos immediately with lime wedges for each person to add a fresh finishing touch. Enjoy!
